The rook in chess is symbolic of ones’ sense of self, used in pairs to depict the two parts to the human psyche, the known and the unknown. On board the USS Rook, the known is the fuel that burns in all of us to discover that which we do not know. Building our knowledge with the understanding that for everything we learn there is more to discover and more to uncover, but not just in the universe but in ourselves as well.
The USS Rook is a Luna-class starship assigned deep-space exploration duties along the Federation frontier and into the now-accessible Gamma Quadrant. New discoveries---both galactic and within ourselves---await in the unknown darkness. Join us as Commander Kayleigh O'Mallley and her stalwart crew attempt to search out and bring these discoveries to light.

Just a friendly reminder that there are those out there who are nearing the two week mark and no post. We are starting on the last leg of the mission (jp's are in the works), but in the mean time there is plenty to write about concerning subplots. Remember a quick solo post is plenty to make the bi-weekly posting requirement.

OK so we have finished the staff meeting and I just want to be sure that everyone know where we are going next.
Operations and Engineering
Finish suring up the Cavalier for transport.
Tactical and Security/Marines
Tactical- work with engineering and operations to get the shields up to snuff on the Cavalier.
Security/Marines- Work with tactical and with the Marines to make sure the Rook is ready to go after the Pulsar.
Medical, Science, Counseling, Stellar Cartography
Keep up the work on the effects of the radiation and work towards finding a cure. Let me know if you need any information.
Diplomat
There isn't as much to do at the moment...but be prepared we will need you come time for the Pulsar...
If I have forgotten anyone...just send me a PM and I will get you something...
March 1 we will be starting the extraction post of the USS Cavalier...So keep an eye out for that!
